DIY Hair Rebond For Under P350 ($7)

One of the many ways I treat myself is by going to the salon to have my hair done. The idea of doing my own hair rebonded was born when I saw my kids watching life hacks, beauty hacks and DIYs. It still resounded to me with a "ching!" sound.
Thanks to modern technology, we're able to search the internet anytime, anywhere and whatever. So after couple of hours reading blogs and researching for the best product I could find out there, I get positive feedback with AHGLOW Professional.

Bought this small box from HBC near our home. For branch/store locator, check it here: hbc stores. You can also buy this product from Hortaleza.

This Rebonding set costs P280 only ($5.50).
It comes with:
  • No.1 Straightening Cream pouch
  • No.2 Neutralizing Cream pouch
  • Instruction paper
So to be able to DIY, you will need the following:

  1. Ahglow rebonding set
  2. Big toothed comb
  3. Hair dye applicator
  4. Cling wrap
  5. Hand gloves
  6. Hair clips
  7. Ceramic hair iron
You would want to have a shiny and smooth finish so I suggest you prepare:

   8. Keratin Hot Oil Treatment
   9. Shower cap

How to do it:

  1. Make sure your hair is clean, if it's too oily, shower your hair first and dry them.
  2. Do the allergy test as instructed from the paper guide included in ahglow rebonding set.
  3. Make sure you read and understand what's written on the instruction page and follow exactly how it's done.
  4. Apply the No.1 pouch-- straightening cream first starting from the nape (batok) going up. Make sure not a single strand gets away :)
  5. Apply the cream at least a few cm away from the roots to avoid irritation.
  6. Note that you should be able to finish the application as quickly as you can for better results. Time it from start to finish. This is crucial, you wouldn't want half of your hair looking straight and the other half curled and cooked too much.
  7. Depending on your hair's reaction to the cream that you would know when you should rinse it. I rinsed mine after 20 mins when I did the knot test.
  8. Wash it properly, making sure all the chemicals are rinsed.
  9. Towel dry your hair. This time you'd feel a bit different with its texture, mine felt like it's sticking to one another so I combed it. The reason why you need big toothed comb so that it's easier to comb.
  10. Blow dry your hair.
Fasten your seatbelt guys, this becomes very tiring especially when you're working all by yourself.

Ironing:
  1. Section your hair as instructed.
  2. Get a 'paper-thin' strands to iron, starting from the nape again going up. One section after the other.
  3. If you have someone to help hold your hair and, or iron it for you the better.
** do not use hair clips
After ironing, which may take up to 3 hours (depending on your hair's length and thickness) apply the No.2 pouch.
Again, when you apply the  No.2 Neutralizing Cream, follow the instructions carefully.
Give it 30mins to an hour before rinsing it.
Once rinsed, the final step is to use your preferred keratin treatment hot oil to get that smooth and silky finish.
After the application of hot oil, cover your hair with shower cap leaving it for 20-30 mins.
(Do not use shampoo when you rinse the hot oil treatment).
You can opt to iron your hair again if you want to achieve that super straight hair look.
** The only time you can shower your hair or wet it is after 2-3 days. I personally used conditioner only on the 3rd day til at least the 5th day.

Keratin Hot oil costs P45 for 3pcs.

And voila! You can now showcase your hair with pride and a big smile on your face knowing you did it yourself!
Congratulations!

Good luck and God bless girls!

Public Transportation | Pasig River Bus Ferry

May 23, 2016 Gusto kong i-share sa inyo ang experience namin sa pagsakay ng Bus Ferry sa Pasig River.  Kasalukuyan pong may 7 stations ang nag-o-operate para sa pampublikong serbisyo. Intramuros (Plaza Mexico) Ferry Station, Manila City Escolta Ferry Station, Manila City PUP Ferry Station, Manila City Sta.

I Wonder

A message to the love of my life I always wonder why we're still together. I wonder why we fight and make up. I wonder why I kept my promise when it's meant to be broken. I always wonder why I stayed when I get hurt all the time. I wonder why I forgive when the pain pierced badly. I wonder why I hold on to the love I once thought was a fairy tale. The wondering just continued. One day, I looked at myself in the mirror and continued to find the answer. I searched everywhere to find it, but I couldn't. I cried very hard than you could ever imagine. I thought to myself, it's done, we're done. I thought of letting go many times, but I couldn't do it. Then, I found the answer! Yes, it was there all along. Because... I couldn't leave a man who made the woman in me, a mother in me and a wife in me today. I guess time made me a strong believer of what God taught men.--  1 Corinthians 13 "4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not ...
